dearest brothers and sisters,
Yes, it is good to share within the week, no matter how busy we are. So here I am, sharing with you just a short glimpse of what's going on for the past 2 week in my life while I wasn't with some of you. It also acts as a reflection point for me to discover God and to give thanks for all He has given me.
Last Tuesday, able to attend Dot Cell. A miraculous book-out from camp, with special permission from the instructor. Amen.
Roger and Jason, Friday Music Practice. I would have loved to stay back with you all. booked-in to camp.
Wasn't with you all previous Sunday because of the commissioning parade. Still, no parade is comparable to the Great Commission. 6 christian brothers worship in the bunks of OCS, I am certain the Spirit of God was in our presence as we await for Him to lift us up in glory.
I've undertaken my new VOCATION. Delighted in the preparation during OCS that God shaped my life to be more like Him.
tuesday's dot cell again was beneficial. we gain much understanding from bible study. I've jotted down what i've learnt to share with you. The topic is on Old Testament and New Testament. It's actually an overview of the Bible.
My dad developed a swollen foot two days ago. it's healing now. Continue to uphold him in prayer. I failed by human efforts to help him in the chores around the house, when he probably need me most, though I set my heart at it - half-hearted.
4th day at work, still trying to break the awkwardness of being unacquainted with some of the people around me. I'm glad to receive so many opportunities to bring glory to God through my behaviour, work and conversations. Pray that I may be an impact on them by making a difference in the workplace. I believe it is my calling, and though the camp is relatively far away in Yishun, I have not rejected it cause we obey where God sends us to. A passage that inspires me and I hope inspires you all too.
But the Lord said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the Lord. Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, "Now I have put my words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant." - Jeremiah 1:7-10
My dear brother and ex-jc classmate, Timothy, has contracted food poisoning. Will pay him a visit tmr. So do pray for him.
Just as I was on the way home today, got up a crowded bus 98. while people were alighting, i made way for them by moving aside. accidentally knocked someone's bag. I apologised, but he was outraged. He grabbed my bag and tossed me aside. accidentally stepped on someone's foot in the process. He even mumbled the F word with a "You" behind, though it may not have been refering to me, i'm uncertain but it was audible. Was pretty furious and annoyed at such a ill-mannered person. My natural instinct was to size him up... then i realize i was letting my anger and hatred consume me. Immediately surrendered to God and begged for forgiveness, as well for this guy, all on the bus. I alighted the bus at my stop with peace in my heart, smiling back at him as the bus left. I'm sure he did look back to see me, i hope he did.
Let us pray for one another, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which most of us are in "chains". (Colossians 4:3)
My desire is to meet up with you all again. I would love to hear from you, and share personally with you. so much to share and give thanks for, so little time and energy! pardon me for being so sloppy in my sharing, already tried to arrange in chronological order lol.
